Hello, everyone!

When I did my one year anniversary post last month, I had a lot of thoughts. It’s been a fun journey reviewing things, but I realized that not all of my followers or casual viewers have been familiar with my older reviews when I started Iridium Eye.

This needs to change.

Once a month, I will highlight a review that I wrote close to the same time a year ago. I know I have some highlights that I’ve written a while back. This first flashback (or 2nd if you count my anniversary post mentioning Theeb) is Haibane Renmei.

Frustrations in Creativity

It has been a whirlwind of activity.

After working, I relaxed by watching a movie that I will review next month, but I had a realization.

Without going into much detail, things always change. Life can mess up the best laid plans. I had so many things set for several projects over the next few months, but other things happened that I need to address. Some of them have to do with my work and others involve dealing with other life matters that I need to take care of. Don’t worry. It’s nothing troublesome. It’s just busy stuff going on.

I won’t be posting as much content on this blog for the time being, so I can take care of things.

Pardon my dust.

One Year Later…(Or my first Wednesday NOT having to write or film anything)

This was a bit of fresh air for me.

I can’t believe that after one year of writing and filming my Katauta 52 videos, I completed my challenge. I’d like to thank anyone that has followed this year-long challenge.

So what do I do next?

That’s a good question.

I know what I want to do next for the Ospreyshire project, but I’m keeping that under wraps.

For my other projects, I want to release some of my written works that I’ve worked on for four years and to write more reviews fro the various movies and anime I watch.

Hopefully, things go well here.

An Avalanche of Creativity

This has been an eventful month for me to say the least.

In addition to my normal work life outside of blogging, I’ve been on the grind in regards to creating things. I just finished my Katauta 52 Project last Wednesday which was an accomplishment, been working hard at publishing some of my fiction projects, and I’ve been in talks with some people for some cool projects (stay tuned).

While it’s been fun creating things like music, literature, reviewing and other things, I do admit that I have gotten overwhelmed at times. Part of it is a huge drive with me trying to accomplish as many goals as possible this. Another aspect is me trying to find time whenever I can to make content here, my blogs, and other avenues. I just hope I can do everything that I can while getting enough sleep. Granted, two of my other blogs are on hiatus until some of that content will be on full display.

Have you ever felt this way before? I just don’t want to overwork myself.

Happy Birthday, Iridium Eye! [blows noisemaker]

Wow, I can’t believe it. My little blog is now a year old. This is amazing and I’m surprised I made it this far since I had my own doubts. However, updating this blog and writing content has been very therapeutic for me over the past year. My friends have told me that I have been more assertive and more enthusiastic about things in real life. That and also being interested in watching the obscure content I cover on here.

I am thankful for anyone who follows this blog and anyone who’s ever bothered to read my ramblings on indie movies, foreign films, anime, documentaries, short films, and some art house stuff that’s all outside of the Hollywood zeitgeist.

The Antidote Interviews Dave Emmerson from ZAP Records

I found out about this interview recently. It was amazing that Dave Hawkins from The Antidote interviewed my friend who’s also named Dave. The #Epic18Tale Project Begins!

Here’s a literary project I’m doing with the TaleHunt app with 18 word stories.

Starting today, I’m going to be more active on TaleHunt.

My current project on that app is the #Epic18Tale. They will be eighteen word stories that will be posted on there daily. This would be easy because of the word count, but difficult in a way because I have to tell a complete story with so little words.
