Goodbye, 2018. Some thoughts about the year and my Top 5 most viewed posts.

Well, looks like this is my last post of the year on Ospreyshire’s Realm.

2018 was a year of ups and downs for me. I felt like I haven’t done as much creatively with my spoken word stuff even when I expanded my repertoire with opinion pieces and news that I felt was important. Granted, I know not everyone cares about my content or the original intent of this blog, but I do what I can to keep going on.

Without further ado, here are the most viewed posts on Ospreyshire’s Realm.

5. Justin Yates’ New Music and Music Video
This was my most viewed cross-promotion piece with my musician friend Justin Yates releasing his newest EP.

4. Create-A-Story Tag
This was a fun piece. Even though I focus my fiction and writing elsewhere, it was still great to flex my fiction muscles by creating a story.

3. I guess versatility pays off?
I got the Versatile Blogger Award, and this was my most viewed award post of the year. I get surprised when people nominate me, but I certainly appreciate it.

2. Over 100 followers!
Another surprise happened when I actually had that many followers wanting to check out my stuff.

1. Fandom Hypocrisy
I could compare this to certain reviews I’ve done on Iridium Eye, but this was a bigger surprise. I was shocked that people actually liked my opinions on this matter when I critiqued numerous fandoms or rather the mindset that comes with being a hardcore fan of certain shows, books, movies, etc.

I hope 2019 goes well.

Dystopian Futures: Low Arts EP

Last Monday, Dystopian Futures released their brand new EP Low Arts!

This EP is great for those who like creative and innovative music with better musicality or depth than whatever is on Top 40 radio. Dystopian Futures are also releasing this album for free or pay-what-you-want. If you want get some tunes, then feel free to download this album. Please chip in some money to them if you feel so inclined, so they can continue making some quality experimental punk rock. If you download this EP, you’ll also get the music video of the title track as a bonus! Here’s the video for those who haven’t seen it: https://vimeo.com/268278856.

Thoughts on the New Year

Here’s a quick blog post.

I want to thank anyone who’s checked out the Ospreyshire blog over the past year. Granted, this is still a small blog, but it’s great that anyone would want to bother checking out my content.

This was a big year for me in different ways. I had many ups and downs in my creative and personal life. One ongoing goal is producing weekly content with my Katauta 52 Project which has been stressful trying to fit this in between work, but I’ve been doing my best to get a video every Wednesday.

I also had a huge spike in stats because I now have over 1000 views on this blog. That’s incredible and I certainly don’t deserve it. I also got into making other blogs like C. M. B. Bell Fiction for my stories and Iridium Eye where I’ve been posting film reviews of lesser-known works.

I hope to make some more katauta videos, but I also want to make some more tracks. Who knows what will happen?

What things do you like about the Ospreyshire blog?

Anything I can improve upon with my poetry and avant-garde music?

What content would you like to see that would fin in this blog?

Thank you,

-Curtis
