For those of you that missed the broadcast, Dave Hawkins from The Antidote archived the audio from that podcast!

In this interview, I talk about how I got the name Ospreyshire, my music, creativity, some spiritual stuff, blogging, anime, and even a HUGE announcement for future projects.

Thanks, Dave!

Katauta #52 (The final Katauta!)

One year later, and I finally beat my own self-constrained challenge. I can’t believe I did this thing for 52 weeks straight on this blog.

It feels invigorating to complete a challenge. I ended it with my soprano ukulele.

Katauta #49

I uncovered an instrument I haven’t played in years. This is none other than the melodica, ladies and gentlemen. Interesting fact about this instrument: it was also used in the song “Clint Eastwood” by the Gorillaz.

I decided to give myself more constraints by having an entirely alliterative poem with all the words starting with C.

Katauta #46

I didn’t have anything written until I was recently inspired. This was a little Katauta about the subversion of being a king. I was highly inspired by Johnny Silvercloud’s article called “Don’t Call Me A King. Let Me Explain.” which was very well-written. I thought I would write and perform something with that same message.

Katauta #45

I had a great conversation with my friend Jeannette the other day with how I was able to feel more confident in my interests and how blogging has allowed me to be more assertive with people in regards to my opinions.

The imagery I chose for this poem involves some movies and memorabilia in my small collection even though it’s not all of it. Yes, I also plug my indie film/documentary/world cinema/anime/short film review blog Iridium Eye on there, but it was relevant.

Here’s a list of the things shown in this video:

Haibane Renmei: Hanenone soundtrack
This Is Not a Film DVD
The Place Promised In Our Early Days DVD
Strings DVD
Before Your Eyes DVD
Read Or Die DVD autographed by Crispin Freeman
Kimba the White Lion promotional NBC black & white cel featuring Kimba and Claw
Battle Royale Shirt

Interestingly enough, I’ve reviewed all of those thing on Iridium Eye. Just sayin’. Haha!

Hope you enjoyed that poem.
