“I’m not getting justice because I’m white!”
I can’t make up this quote to save my life. Do I even need to say how fallacious it is let alone her “testimony” to say something like that? I swear this has become the age of exposure when it comes to racist idiots showing their behinds. You would think they would know better given the current racial tensions in America, but nope. This Karen has some nerve cussing them out, blaming whatever Black people are there, and even doing a “white lives matter” chant in front of everyone. She’s so lucky that the security officers and the other bystanders were calm because she would not fare so well against someone else who wouldn’t tolerate.
Phil also brought up a great point of white supremacists copying everything like how they come up with these “white lives matter” or “all lives matter”. I could go on with other examples in different fields (and have used multiple examples much a good portion of the songs from “Dear Innovare…”), but that’s just lazy. I don’t care if she was drunk or sober (I agree she comes off as the former). Nobody should be blamed for something they didn’t do. It’s also a good thing this was recorded and I hope the world shames this Karen for being such a bigot.
It all started with North Face removing ads from Zuckerberg’s brainchild and it’s snowballing pretty hard. In case you’re wondering why North Face, REI, Upwork, and several other companies are following suit to pull ads is because of FB’s double standards with treating hate groups compared to anti-racist posts.
I distinctly remember a story a few years ago where a Black woman did a simple #SupportBlackBusinesses hashtag which is quite innocent. However, her account got suspended for a week or two after posting that on her status. Conversely, there have been multiple white supremacy groups functioning on the site and they rarely ever get punished. So many companies are seeing the clear hypocrisy and decided to cash out as to not be a part of anything bigoted (I’m being generous here, but I do appreciate them seeing some kind of morality in this case). So apparently, Facebook can lose over $70 billion this month? WOW! Just, wow. It’s also a good thing I haven’t been on Facebook in years as it started getting toxic even when I left. I couldn’t imagine how bad it’s been since then.
Maybe this will get Zuckerberg to finally stop coddling hate groups? We’ll see…
I’m not going to let Breonna Taylor get swept under the rug. As much as people talk about George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery (which they should continue to do so), people can’t be ignoring what happened to this murdered paramedic. It’s already confirmed that it was a no-knock warrant which they JUST made illegal and they already had the suspect in custody.
Sure, Hankison was fired, but why just him and why aren’t there charges pressed against all three of them?
This is just sickening and it’s clearly murder. They also had some nerve to charge her boyfriend to begin with even though they had no right being in their home and he was defending himself and Breonna from a home invasion. She didn’t deserve this and she was doing her best to save lives especially during this pandemic.
I really hope that justice can win even though it’s going to be really hard for this to happen.
Rest In Power, Breonna Taylor.
I’m sure some of you have been aware about various statues of racist devils being taken down recently due to the protests. You have the Edward Colston statue getting “swimming lessons” in Bristol, England and you have Confederate statues taken down across the South. I wondered if Belgium was going to step up to get rid of one of the biggest genocidal maniacs you weren’t taught about in school.
Special thanks to Petrel41 for telling me about this!
I’ve mentioned King Leopold II in a few past articles, but this information bears repeating. For those of you that don’t know, he was the king of Belgium since the late 19th century. Him and other European heads of state participated in the Scramble for Africa starting with the Berlin Conference. His piece of the colonization pie was getting a part of the Kingdom of Kongo in a landmass that would become the Belgian Congo or by it’s modern name of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Even after the annexation, that country is still far larger than Belgium from both a landmass and population standpoint. When Leopold got control of that part of Africa, he turned the entire country into his personal slave plantation since it’s still a resource-rich nation even to this day. The biggest things were oil, rubber, and gold to name a few. Leopold and his brutal regime forced the Congolese to take these insane quotas for the resources and if they didn’t meet said quotas, they would get their hands chopped off. You know those chocolate hands they sell in Belgium? That’s where the inspiration came from. Cannibalistic implications much, Leopold? He did wicked things like shooting the Congolese on site and starved them out away from their communities
AKA The Elephant Graveyard Treatment much like what the 2nd Reich did to the Namibians in the 1900s or the Native Americans dealing with the Trail of Tears after being abused by the colonizers. This had a result of killing over 15 million Congolese people during his reign! At that time over a century ago, this was HALF the country’s population. To give you more context, that’s over the same amount of people living in the nation’s capital of Kinshasa (also the 3rd most populated city in Africa, by the way) and Chicago COMBINED! Most people know about Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, and Joseph Stalin which people should still be taught about for their atrocities, but Leopold always slips through the cracks of history classes. I didn’t even know who he was until after I graduated college which is sad. Even more angering in hindsight to me is that I have Congolese heritage…Leopold could’ve abused and/or killed MY ancestors that I may not have known about! His punishment for what he did was relinquishing control of the Congo. Oh, cry me a river.
Hopefully that brief history lesson should suffice to my readers. Leopold makes Colston look like an alter boy by comparison. I’m so happy that they took the statues down that glorify racist demons like that tyrant. Major props to the Congolese-Belgians who were hardcore protesting about that situation. I also hope this leads to Belgium paying up those reparations for that genocide against that Central African nation. It’s been a long time coming.
Leopold azali zabolo! Nzambe yaka Osunga Kongo! Mosembo na boboto ekolonga!
I’m sure some of you have heard about the new Netflix series Self Made about Madame CJ Walker. I haven’t seen this show, but when I heard that they did Annie Malone wrong, I just had to talk about it.
This is the second time when real life affects my “Dear Innovare…” album. First, we have the unfortunate passing of Cameroonian musician Manu Dibango who wrote “Soul Makossa” (AKA The song “Wanna Be Starting Something” ripped off) as mentioned in “Cameroonian Originality March” and now Self Made slanders Annie Malone?
This ticked me off so much since CJ Walker is NOTHING without Annie Malone and I hate how she never got the credit for being the first ADOS female millionaire and also the first one to make a beauty college. It seems like I’ve been proven right about so many different things over the past year or so like how I was exposed to The Lion’s Share documentary or Petite Noir’s La Maison Noir music video. This is why we need to tell our own stories. I was glad that the blogger talking about this Wongel Zelalem thought it was an amazing learning experience and wanted to get the history right. If you’re curious about her accent, it’s because she’s from Ethiopia, by the way. The truth needs to be shared out there.
It’s list season and while this blog never had any fancy content, I thought it would be fine to do some kind of retrospective from the year that was 2019. These were the most viewed posts on Ospreyshire’s Realm last year. This was a mix of poetry, news, rants, awards, and music.

I was checking out this news commentary from YouTuber Lisa Cabrera and I just had to share it on my blog. This destroys so many lies in the mainstream media. When New York’s police department didn’t police the black communities as much, crime actually went DOWN!
But wait, mainstream media says black and brown communities do all the crime and need to be locked up or gunned down, right?
This is awesome news and it proves me right how so many of these unjust cases involve escalated situations, fabricated stories, false accusations, and trying to feed into the prison-industrial complex. How is it that most nonwhite prisoners are there for nonviolent offenses like drug possession (assuming if they did it)? This only proves how unjust the American justice system is and how it’s color coded. Would they profile and brutalize the Caucasian communities especially if they’re in affluent areas? I don’t think so. Lisa also brought up great parallels with Black Wall Street and Rosewood with how they were wealthy black neighborhoods that had negligible crime at best.
Seriously, screw bigotry. I want there to be equal justice.

WOOHOO! I finally finished the last song yesterday. Coincidentally enough, that was also my birthday, too! This felt great despite some of the stress and depressed aspects of my life so far.
41 tracks for the first ever Ospreyshire full-length album. I never thought I would make an album with that many songs in my life even if most are on the short side. It was also a genre roulette of sorts as I did new things as a musician. Sure, most of the songs are still lo-fi, but they have higher fidelity and integrity than mainstream artists. I can guarantee you that much.
You’re probably asking, what’s the name of this album?
This concept album which deals with unknown inventors, artists, and creators who have been plagiarized is this…
“Dear Innovare…The Souls of Ignored Pioneers Shall Be Renowned”
Expect more news about the album over the next few weeks.
I haven’t paid attention to D. L. Hughley since The Hughleys show back in the day. I knew he did some TV work long after that, but I wasn’t familiar with his current show. He made commentary about a New Hampshire politician named Werner Horn who said that “Owning slaves doesn’t make you a racist.”
Let that sentence sink in. This wasn’t a politician from 1819, but from 2019. This Horn ignoramus doubles down by saying that race had nothing to do with slavery, but for business and taking care of one’s family. DO I EVEN NEED TO EXPLAIN HOW STUPID AND FALLACIOUS IT IS?
There are people who are defending the indefensible which greatly disturbs me. If it wasn’t about race, then why did they enslave other White people in America? No, the Transatlantic slave trade was a money maker for so many companies and everyone knows it. No, the White people who did work in the fields (mainly the Irish at the time) weren’t slaves, they were indentured servants which isn’t the same thing, so don’t bring up that false equivalency.
What disturbs me even more is that more people aren’t calling out that Werner Horn devil for his racist and denial-loaded comment. D. L. Hughley brings up great points about that issue in this video.
I had to get this off my chest after discovering this clip.
This video is used under fair use laws and is property of D. L. Hughley and TV One.
I found out about this story and all I can say is WOW! JUST, WOW!
In addition to the drama going on with Lori Laughlin and company in court with all of this college cheating going on, apparently there was a trend of college students in America and the United Kingdom at large where students have been caught paying Kenyans dirt cheap to write their papers for them. It’s not just undergrads, even graduate and PhD level students have gotten these Kenyans to write full-on theses and dissertations. Apparently, there are essay factories down in that country where these writers work twelve hour shifts while getting paid slave wages to write papers for the Americans and the UK. The latter has a brutal sense of irony when you consider that Kenya was a former British colony. Just saying.
You see, I went to a four year private university to get my Bachelor’s Degree. I got in on my own merits and did everything I could while working two campus jobs and I still graduated on time. I’ll let you in on a little secret during my tenure there. There were students who would fake their way in classes like reading only Cliff Notes or online summaries in the English/Literature courses I took without reading the full books, admitting to cheating in tests in classes I didn’t take with them, and those same people graduated while some are making more money than me. Well pardon me for being an honest student. I’m sorry to have a little thing called integrity to not steal, cheat, or plagiarize compared to those who claimed to have higher IQs than me.
So if I want to expose myself to plagiarized works involving Africa, I can either read some of these paid essays or watch The Lion King. SHOTS FIRED!!!
Seriously, shame on all of those students for plagiarizing their works and shame on that essay factory owner for being a part of this scandal. You wonder why I hate it when people steal and copy from others without crediting people? I bet you money these plagiarists are from far far richer families than mine (okay, I’ve been middle-class for a good portion of my life), and got away with it for years now, and have well-paying careers. Inexcusable! If honesty, integrity, and hard work were merited as much as the media lies to us, then I’d be a millionaire by now.
The video is property of African Diaspora News Channel. That’s more credit than these thieving douchebags will ever give for these paid-for essays.
