They wanted the purest silence
24 karat taciturn acoustics
Whenever the “wrong” kind of male voice is spotted in earshot
Not a raised one or a defiant one
Just existing made them inflamed
Vying for the erasure for the crime of just being
Excuses compound together
Under the subterfuge of azure eyes
The extraction happened
No contract, warnings, or potions
Yet chaining the vocal cords
The desire to bring it back scorched brightly
Once the morales lower than Mariana’s Trench were in sight
Diving towards a thousand fathoms
Where no one can hear anyone scream
Vocal larceny was at it’s peak
And it was a challenge to get it back
How dare they rob the sound
Once the voice would be retrieved
Only a more aggressive homage to a devil ray mage crafted by the Rising Sun
Yet transplanted from a Nordic kingdom would suffice for them
The thievery guild will be repaid in kind
Forever the muted scourges
Writhing without sound
As bodies dissolve into foam
On the acidic ocean they created
Such retribution was a primal scream
When the thieves became infautated by their romance of one person’s silence

In Response to Those Selectively Saying “Be Kind”
The selective logic just became more obvious
Those who thought the former duchess was attention seeking
Were the same who sobbed about Robin Williams and Chester Bennington to name a few
Saving face was the name of the game
As people become keyboard mental health activists of convenience
Where was MY sympathy whenever I spoke up about my issues years ago?
I wouldn’t be surprised if my former bouts of self-harm made certain people ecstatic
Mental health only mattered to some
As the addendums don’t need to be addressed explicitly or reverse engineered dog whistles
Others should be thankful I’m not a troll or a bully
Who knows what psychological damage I could do if I was good at insulting others
Maybe being kind wasn’t as much of a weakness (even with my bouts of solipsism)
Digital facades have always been on parade
As I’ve seen those who’ve said “Be kind!”
Have been total douchebags offline and/or online
Spare me the fake encouragement
People have actually acknowledged what Ospreyshire was about? (or, the buzz about Pathos Formula Wave)
Ever since I dropped my Pathos Formula Wave EP, it has been amazing that people are actually talking about it. Whether it’s comments on my blog, emails I’ve been getting, or some texts from my friends, I’ve been getting notice that so many of you are talking about it.
I hate to sound selfish, but that makes me happy even though this EP involves some of my angriest work.
Ospreyshire was mainly a vehicle for my spoken word projects with an avant-garde bent to them. I think for the past couple of years, people have only known my for my film reviews or my fiction projects. Part of this is my fault for focusing on that and for not recording much during that time period besides the occasional compilation contribution. So far, I have 2 EPs, 3 exclusive non-album tracks on compilations, and 3 singles so far. I hope you all appreciate my recordings as much as my other content on different blogs.
Don’t forget to check out http://ospreyshire.bandcamp.com for my music!
