That time when I was reminded of celebrities doing horrible things or at least accused of doing said things…

I felt like I had to say something after something happened at work the other day.

So, I was in the breakroom and the news was on the TV with a few people casually watching. There was a segment with two actors involved in the new Woody Allen movie. That movie would premier at a film festival, but there has been some controversy given the allegations that Allen faced with him sexually assaulting his adopted daughters as well as having a relationship with one of them. It was a talking point which they spent a great deal of time talking about it. The actors involved still wanted to be a part of this festival and promote the movie. One of them even said something along the lines of “Because he’s [Woody Allen] a genius.” while giving him a free pass and saying how people should focus on the good thing he’s done to the film industry whether he did those horrible things or not. The interview bugged me so much that I said out loud “Nate Parker was falsely accused and he NEVER got treated like that!” to the TV before minding my own business. Surprisingly, no one responded to me when I said that fact. In case you’re wondering, I was talking about the actor/director Nate Parker getting lied on for being a rapist even though it was proven false. It frustrates me how some famous people get a free ride for anything and get the convenience of “separating art from the artists” while others do the same thing, less, or are falsely accused of something and they get canceled just like that.

Not long before that moment, I recently discovered other celebrities found dead to rights doing terrible things that I legitimately didn’t know about with some articles and in a brief conversation with my sister’s boyfriend the other day. Here are a couple of examples that I recently discovered.

Tim Allen: Did you know he was a cocaine trafficker before getting into his acting career when he was in his early 20s? Yeah, he was caught with a kilo of the infamous illegal nose candy and almost got a life sentence, but only served 2 1/3 years. How did he pull that off? He snitched on the rest of the traplords in his crew and the rest is history. Yes, the guy from Home Improvement, The Santa Clause, and even Buzz Lightyear himself was getting his Tony Montana on decades ago. Ironic how other people got caught with that amount of drugs, less, or had them planted on them who wish they had a short sentence like this guy who was in a bunch of family-friendly shows and movies.

Ben Roethlisberger: I can care less about football nor have I ever been to Pittsburgh in my life so far, but I know he’s a famous football player. He just retired yesterday and while there were people wishing him well, there were others who got “Big Rape” trending about his retirement. Why that name you might ask? It’s because this now-former Steeler violated Andrea McNulty in a hotel in Lake Tahoe. Apparently, people covered up that sexual assault and it was settled out of court. Why would he settle if he was innocent? Also, Ben Rapist-burger…I mean, Roethlisberger was never punished by the courts or the NFL for those actions. I guess it’s only in America where one gets carte blanche for sexually exploiting someone and they get to ride off into the sunset with their head held high. But God forbid you take a knee to protest against systemic racism, and then you lose your job! Can anyone explain how that makes sense at all?

Caitlyn Jenner: This former Olympian was in a fatal car crash where someone died and others faced multiple injuries. All it took as a settlement was a drop in the bucket for Caitlyn’s bank account and never got charged. I did hear about rumors of her having some interest in being a Californian governor, but nothing is confirmed. That fact would most likely be brought up if she does commit to this political career. She shouldn’t be talking about criminals being let out when people have been in jail for less than what she did who never killed anyone. Interestingly enough, this wasn’t a DUI or a DWI. Jenner passed the sobriety test, so this gives it a bit of a disturbing dynamic. Speaking of fatal car crashes…

Matthew Broderick: People can probably guess a certain irony I will bring up given his filmography, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. Not long after Ferris Bueller’s Day Off came out, he and his girlfriend at the time Jennifer Grey were vacationing in Northern Ireland. They were driving around and Broderick crashed into a mother and her adult daughter. He almost got a decade-long sentence but ended up getting no jail time despite killing two people and paid a $175 fine. People have paid traffic tickets that much or more and never killed anyone. Not only that, but he showed up in a freaking Hyundai commercial after the fact which ticked off the family of the deceased. Here comes the most obvious observation to make if you know me: Looks Simba himself killed a parent and their child at the same time. Scar can’t even make that claim if you really think about it. Congrats! You Disney fans can’t un-see it now! Keep in mind, he still had a career years after that fatal car crash yet people have rotted in jail for much less for non-violent crimes and was never canceled for his previous acts.

Those were a few examples I could think of, but I know there are others who were treated with kid gloves. It’s no wonder I get more jaded as I get older when I see blatant displays of hypocrisy in the (in)justice system.

Christopher Belter only gets probation for multiple counts of sexual assault. SHAME!

Christopher Belter sexually assaults four underage girls and his punishment is 8 years of PROBATION?! Are you freaking serious? This case is another example of how there are massive double standards with the American (In)justice system. I felt so sickened by hearing this story, but I’m not even surprised anymore. The complexion for the protection (and a bit of money as well) certainly got Belter off of getting a one-way trip to the pen. Shoot, even one of the victims (who is white) said that he wouldn’t have gotten away with it if he was Black or brown. This is the Affluenza teen all over again, but with statutory rape instead of underage drinking, DWIs, and killing people in a car crash.

Also, where the Tartaros is #MeToo? You’ve got all that energy for R. Kelly, but aren’t calling out this guy? Oh, wait. These same people were also quiet about Rob Lowe, Roman Polanski, or the Dow family so I know what makes these same people scream about injustice or not. Your silence speaks volumes, you activists of convenience. You have people locked up for far less and that’s assuming if they haven’t been falsely accused of something. I do feel sorry for the victims and I hate how people like him get away with some of the most wicked crap imaginable. It’s no wonder you have idiots who like this system because they feel that they can get carte blanche for everything! People shouldn’t be telling me that we have a fair and just system. Spare me. I hope others see this and realize how messed up the (in)justice system is. Unbelievable…

A 16 Year Sentence Isn’t Enough (Dows=Devils)

Did you feel happy defiling so many innocent souls?

To say there were kid’s gloves involved would be a gross understatement

#MeToo ignored you and your wife, but I didn’t

About time the consequences rained down on you

But it still looks like a slap on the wrist

When others faced more time for less

How many people would be able to get away with destroying children

Especially after they were on THAT registry back in their home country?

How many people did you bribe in one or both nations?

You better thank your privilege for only serving 16 years

For those that don’t know what I’m referring to, then you can watch Preying Missionaries and this news clip from Kenya.

Also, the fact Edmond Nyabola doesn’t have any journalism awards for breaking this story is a travesty, too.

May God bless the victims and their families.

An older news story, but still relevant: Where’s #MeToo when it comes to Brett Hankison?

Just because the protests haven’t been getting as much mainstream coverage doesn’t mean they’re disappearing. I’m still going to talk about the Breonna Taylor situation and others or at least continuing the discussion on race relations on here and even my other blogs.

I do apologize if this is older news for anyone knee deep in what’s going on in Louisville, KY, but I didn’t know this until recently. It’s infuriating enough that the cops still aren’t even charged for the murder of Breonna Taylor, but apparently Brett Hankison has been accused of sexually assaulting various women. This is just disgusting on so many levels. As one can tell by the title, where’s #MeToo when it comes to this situation? I know he’s not a celebrity, but people have been taken down and canceled even though they were innocent (see: Nate Parker). This really shows how you have certain women out there who are just activists of convenience instead of getting real justice. Those same people don’t even care that a woman was murdered in her own house, so I hate this double standard when it comes to who is treated better or who gets demonized. This should give even more reason to charge him now, but the legal system is still twiddling their thumbs on the matter and giving the Louisville protestors even more reason to be on the streets.

I can only hope that they finally charge and convict everyone who killed Breonna Taylor as well as getting Brett Hankison for his sexual assault crimes.

Lesotho Textile Workers Are Sexually Exploited #BoycottLevis #BoycottWrangler #BoycottTheChildrensPlace

Lesotho women making jeans for Levis and Wrangler forced to have sex with bosses to keep jobs

I found out about this story, and I’m beyond sickened. Here’s the gist of what’s going on. In the Southern African nation of Lesotho (pronounced Les-oo-too for those who’ve never heard of that small kingdom), there’s a textile factory where the workers make jeans for Levi’s Wrangler, and The Children’s Place. The women who work at said factory were forced to engage in sexual acts with the higher-ups with their managers and other higher-ups in order to keep their jobs. Not only that, but a Taiwanese company Nien Hsing Texile was in on this, too.

I keep repeating this, but this bears repeating. WHERE’S #METOO?

This is saddening how so many of these company owners are getting away with taking sexual advantage of all these women. They didn’t deserve this, and I know those monsters wouldn’t dare try this in America or Europe. You know what? I’ll even go one step farther and say they wouldn’t try it in India, Bangladesh, or China. Many of those factories have there own severe issues, but those workers are unlikely to be molested and raped like in the Lesotho factory. I hope these innocent women get justice against these American jean companies and that Taiwanese company.

Update: The Dows are FINALLY arrested! #PreyingMissionaries

https://www.nation.co.ke/news/US-man-arrested-over-Kenya-sex-abuse/1056-5194154-o7440pz/index.html

What’s this? A child predator is FINALLY facing a courtroom for his crimes? I couldn’t believe it!

For those of you don’t know, Gregory Hayes Dow and Mary Rose Dow are so-called missionaries who opened up an orphanage in Bomet, Kenya. For almost a decade, they didn’t give the kids any love or safety. They would torture, sexually abuse, starve out, and even kill children in their compound. Also, Gregory was a registered sex offender who molested his own daughter from his previous marriage prior to going to Kenya. This was documented in the Kenyan documentary Preying Missionaries which you can watch on YouTube for free legally.

I’ve talked about this issue before.

I’m glad people are finally going after the Dows. It’s high time that justice came knocking on their doors. We arrest and execute people who’ve done less in this country assuming if they actually committed crimes. I hope they get the maximum sentence in locking them up for the rest of their days. America, this is your chance to do the right thing. This isn’t The Central Park Five. These devils were found dead to rights for their rampant abuse. These pedophiles need to suffer.

Again, where’s #MeToo and #TimesUp at?

Seriously, I can’t stand how all those innocent children were mistreated beyond belief or having more people who want to bash Africa.

#PreyingMissionaries Pt. II: Petition to get justice for the innocent Kenyan orphans abused by Gregory and Mary Rose Dow

https://www.change.org/p/kwitu-pa-kenya-women-in-the-us-pennslyvania-chapter-justice-for-kenyan-orphan-children

I’m glad there’s a petition for this case, too.

After watching the Preying Missionaries documentary on YouTube, I was beyond sickened by hearing the stories of those poor Kenyan children that were beaten, starved, raped, and some of them even killed by the Dow couple. It was even more infuriating that Gregory Hayes Dow was a registered sex offender and child molester (his victim was his own daughter, by the way) before opening up an orphanage in Kenya and got away with it for nine years.

Don’t you dare complain and cause a fit about Bill Cosby or R. Kelly when you stay silent about sexual abusers like the Dows or those who look like them. You are hypocrites and cowards if you do that. It makes me wonder if those same people barking about those two are getting away with violating children while accusing those of a certain complexion.

I hope justice can be done, so all those children can know something happened to these monsters who ruined their lives. I hope Gregory Dow and Mary Rose Dow serve hard time especially when there are people in jail who have served decades for non-violent crimes assuming if they were guilty to begin with.

#FirstThem

#PreyingMissionaries: May those children get restitution against these devils!

I just found out about this expose documentary that NTV (a Kenyan news station) recently premiered when I checked out The Advise Show and I’m still bawling my eyes out while also feeling enraged. Just as I thought the Hakuna Matata trademark issue was bad enough in Africa, my heart just broke when I found out about this story.

These demons in missionary’s clothing known as Gregory Hayes Dow and his wife/partner-in-crime Mary Rose Dow opened up an orphanage in Bomet, Kenya in 2008. For 9 straight years, these thugs beaten, abused, dehydrated, starved, and raped over 83 children in their home. Also, 3 children died with the youngest being at 1.5 years old. I cannot tell you the fury that I feel from hearing about this case and watching the full documentary on YouTube (you can watch the whole thing here). One thing that was a huge kicker in this case was that Gregory was a registered sex offender and child molester who violated HIS OWN DAUGHTER from his first marriage!

How the hell was this guy allowed to build an orphanage let alone allowed to work with children? Did he pay off some government officials or something like that? This orphanage makes the one in The Promised Neverland look like a utopia (you’re welcome, anime fans). I hope these two demons get punished for their atrocious crimes. R. Kelly was treated worse than the Dows and he has more money than them! You might as well call this Surviving Gregory Dow for crying out loud. Definitely a #FirstThem case on so many levels.

Now, I’m going to have to call out certain people on this matter. If you call yourself a feminist and don’t call out this behavior, then you are a hypocritical piece of crap. I bet you if Gregory and Mary Rose weren’t white, you know this would be global news. All you #MeToo and #TimesUp people better call these people out like they did Bill Cosby. I’m sure Gloria Allred is silent about this matter. Yeah, I said it. If you care about the well-being of children, then this story should make you grieve and beg for the Dows to be punished. Stories like these have made me cynical about humanity as so many so-called humans are just plain monstrous. We have people in jail (America, Kenya, or otherwise) who’ve been punished worse for much MUCH less! Kenya and the rest of the world need to vet these missionaries with iron rigid standards. I hope this story goes viral and I want the Dows to be the freaking face of child abuse and pedophilia.

NEVER FORGET!

This news story made me sick…

While the MSM keeps pounding in your head about R. Kelly this and R. Kelly that, one thing that hasn’t been discussed is the case of legalized child trafficking.

Let me repeat this: there were cases of child trafficking in America from 2007-2017 that were legalized where people got child brides and didn’t see a day in jail let alone court. This time period covers three different administrations of both parties and the fact that no one did anything is sick.

I’ve heard of horrific stories involving similar cases where people did get arrested and I’ve seen the documentary At the End of Slavery, but I didn’t realize how many people have been getting away with it. You have situations where tons of wealthy individuals get underage spouses from underdeveloped nations that got green cards, passports, and other forms of legal documentation. This grieves me so much how certain pedophiles fly under the radar while the MSM wants R. Kelly to be the face of that nasty form of sexual deviance as if he invented it.

For the record, he should be punished if he’s guilty. If people bash him, then people need to bash others like Harvey Weinstein, Woody Allen, Rob Lowe, Kevin Spacey, and many more I can name at the moment.

Back on topic though, let me get this straight. You have people in jail right now for doing things like having an ounce of weed, mail tampering, or stealing some pizza, yet there are people marrying minors and sexually abusing them and they don’t have charges pressed on them? What kind of sense does that make?

Where’s #MeToo? Where’s #TimesUp? Oh, wait. I just hear crickets. Makes me wonder if those same people who rally against celebrities of a certain complexion secretly support this kind of behavior. Freaking hypocrites.

I hope this comes to a stop and I wanted to raise awareness about this issue.

P. S. If you’re ready to lambaste those aforementioned POC celebrities, then all I have to say is #FirstThem. That is all.
