I know Nestle has done really bad things in the past like that heinous baby formula fiasco story my mom told me about when I was a child, but this is just plain sick. So apparently, Nestle and Cargill have financed their chocolate businesses by using child slaves as young as 5 years old in Cote D’Ivoire (or Ivory Coast if you prefer) and Mali for 12-14 hours a day under abusive conditions like getting beaten, starved out, and under armed surveillance among other ghastly things. The formally enslaved people tried to make a lawsuit against these companies for human rights abuses and who can blame them? However, the Supreme Court in America denied the lawsuit from an 8-1 majority (Yes, both Republicans AND Democrats voted to reject the suit) because this happened outside of America. So let me get this straight. People can be arrested for sexual assault or being a Nazi outside of the country even if it was outside the nation as they should be incarcerated, but for being involved in child slavery isn’t good enough to throw the book at the companies and their accomplices? Unbelievable! Do your jobs, SCOTUS!
Me being offended about this happening isn’t just on principle in my case, but this offends me as a human being. While Nestle and Cargill deserve to be boycotted and charged with slavery, the accomplices directly in those African nations need to be locked up as well. This is hardcore selling out on so many levels and those governments should rescue the enslaved and shut down these plantations. Slavery is still going on in the world, but sadly not many people still realize this.
If you do buy chocolate, then please do your research on the companies like if they’re fair trade for example. For me, I won’t be buying anything from these companies.

Zimbabwe, don’t turn your country into Rhodesia 2.0 even if the colonizer is of a different race
I found out about this story not long after this video was first uploaded and I was seething with rage. Apparently, this Chinese company has been enslaving Zimbabweans and doing all types of cruel things to the Africans in that country. This is just sick. In the thumbnail, you could see them moving sick women with a FORKLIFT and not stretchers. There is a chemical used that’s been knocking out the women workers which is dangerous as well as very suspicious. I seriously hope they aren’t taking sexual advantage of them. Thankfully, the workers have spoken up and collecting receipts of these gross violations. I hope these devils get jail time. You don’t see Africans enslaving Chinese people, much less the Asian community, and this needs to be stopped.
I just had to talk about this issue with how infuriated I was with this news story. Why isn’t this hitting worldwide news channels? Oh, I have a few guesses why. I felt compelled to share this with everyone.
Trademarking “Yoruba”? Shame on you, Timbuktu (the UK company)!
It’s been a while since I talked about news around the world, but I saw this video which ticked me off so much that I just have to talk bout it.
There’s a British company called Timbuktu who had the temerity to trademark the word “Yoruba”. For those who don’t know any thing about that word, it refers to an actual African ethnic group and language associated with Nigeria, Benin, and Togo although Nigeria has a huge Yoruba population. Some famous people of that ethnicity involve actor John Boyega, basketball player Hakeem Olajuwon, and rapper Wale to name a few. The Nigerian community got infuriated by this trademark controversy and rightfully so. They were raising awareness to this issue. Also, am I the only one who noticed that this company is named after the famous Malian city?
This is just blatant cultural appropriation and I hope Timbuktu gets enough pressure to drop the trademark. I never bought anything from them and I hope there’s a giant boycott against them for what they did. What’s up with these companies trademarking African things? You have this recent case, Louis Vuitton making “luxury” Maasai cloths, and (I will not stop repeating this example because this company deserves the smoke) Disney freaking trademarking the phrase “Hakuna Matata”! These corporations need to stop doing this and I hope people stop buying their things. Think about it, they trademarked the name of an ethnic group consisting of millions of people around the world and not just in Western Africa. How would people react if Timbuktu or any company trademarked the name(s) of another ethnic group such as Irish Travelers, Sicilians, or Ashkenazim? I’m sure there would be even more outrage if anyone dared to do so. Nobody should be turning ethnicities into intellectual property.
The fact that people tell me that cultural appropriation isn’t bad or doesn’t exist is just idiotic because they never had to deal with their heritage being slighted in the least.
2 Stories: A Karen getting arrested and Senegal & Gabon handling Coronavirus
Angela Baker, I appreciate your honesty about your racism. Now, the whole world can see how much of a hateful harpy you are. In Oregon, Ohio, this racist scumbag of a woman straight up admits to using racial slurs against Black people and was even about to give them the Charlottesville treatment by running them over with their car. She’s arrested and charged with ethnic intimidation which is certainly a good step. Angela needs to be in jail for a long time for doing that. I bet you if the races were reversed, then she’d be dead on site or if she is alive, she’ll get hard time. Sorry, but people are making up to the systemic racism in this country. I’m even seeing other white people getting sick of these Karens running around blaming Black people for nothing.
In world news (mainly Africa although this partially involves Europe), Senegal and Gabon were banned from EU countries due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, those two countries retaliate by banning Europeans from coming over to their nations. You’d be surprised how many Europeans visit those nations (especially the French since Senegal and Gabon are former colonies and they don’t have to worry about language barriers). Besides the back and forth with the travel bans, those two countries have something going for them when it comes to dealing with this pandemic. As of today, Senegal has 8369 cases and Gabon has 6121 cases. Keep in mind, they have less people sick from COVID than most European countries or let alone most states in America. Let that sink in. Those countries have been stepping up. In Senegal, they’ve made readily-available testing kits for only the equivalent of $1 USD, so anyone can afford it. There’s even a medical engineer who 3D-printed fully-functioning ventilator kits for hospitals and clinics while selling them for $60 USD a piece instead of importing them for over $10K. Isn’t that awesome? Anyone who thinks African countries are so backward or are considered [poop]hole nations needs to check themselves. What does that say about these countries handling the virus and taking care of people when so many 1st world nations don’t have the numbers (testing positive and fatalities) as low as them?
Even Rwanda has robot nurses to take care of COVID patients while their human staff can still work full-time in the hospitals for example.
I hope everyone is being safe and doing their best to see the humanity in others.
More Racist Crap Afflicts Africa (Kenya and Uganda [once again])
This just never stops, does it?
I recently heard about these stories when I did more research on African news.
This first story involves Kenya. As you may or may not know, China has been doing business in several African countries. This idiot who calls himself a businessman named Liu Jiaqi decides to bash Kenya, their president, and dares to call the people “monkeys”. Thank God, the government had enough sense to deport his sorry behind back to where he came from. Devils like him have no business in Africa. I also noticed how he was silent about the Kenyan guy asking why he didn’t want to do business in America or Europe. You know very well Jianqi would NEVER pull that mess on White people, and that’s a fact.
The second story involves Uganda again. Some of you might remember a story I linked to not too long ago where that redneck so-called pastor called those Ugandan hotel workers the N-word and straight up assaulted one of the employees. Unlike that story, we have Chinese businessmen doing some illegal mining, get called out on their criminal activity, and now these investors act like petulant children by attacking the local politicians. At least these Ugandans fought back and are going to throw charges at them. They need to punish these businessmen and make an example of their devilry. Show them who’s boss. They should kick them out of the country and say “you will not disrespect us here”. I would bet you money if some African did the same thing in China, you know they would be swift and harsh in punishing that individual.
Racism just makes me sick and not just because I’ve had to deal with it. These are people in power who think they can abuse whoever seems “lower” then them. Much like the racist pastor, these bigwigs are nothing but man-children and parasites. People just need to grow up and respect others regardless of their skin color.
